1914 – The War That Never Ends European Headline Tour 2026
Ukrainian blackened death/doom formation 1914 return to the battlefield with The War That Never Ends — a new headline tour marking the arrival of their forthcoming album Viribus Unitis (out November 14, 2025 via Napalm Records). Known for their harrowing WWI narratives, immersive soundscapes, and powerful conceptual storytelling, 1914 now unveil their most dynamic and emotionally resonant chapter to date.
Viribus Unitis (“With United Forces”) pushes the band’s signature mix of blackened death metal, crushing doom, and atmospheric tension into broader, more dramatic territory. The album explores not only the horrors of war, but also the endurance, camaraderie, and fragile humanity that emerge from the darkest chaos. With Viribus Unitis, 1914 deliver a deeply cinematic and soul-piercing experience that will come alive on stage with full intensity.
Joining them on this campaign are Danish doom lords KATLA, whose upcoming album Scandinavian Pain (out March 21, 2025) has already drawn attention for its bleak atmospheres and emotionally heavy storytelling. Fusing sludge, post-rock, and progressive doom, KATLA explore themes of melancholy, shame, greed, and the weight of human suffering — driven by thunderous drums, distorted walls of guitar, and haunting vocals. Their live performances are known for raw power, tension, and immersive darkness.
Two bands shaped by history, grief, and overwhelming heaviness.
One tour carrying the banner of stories that refuse to fade.
Experience 1914 and KATLA together on The War That Never Ends — a night of blackened fury, doom-laden despair, and emotional weight that lingers long after the final note.
